Keep this document in mind when you are creating a program to address practice gaps and the clinical bottom line.<\/p>\n<p>With the implementation of PA8, please note that starting Jan. 1, 2024, CE programs must now align with the new PA8. Here are resources to help you understand the changes reflected in the new version:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cPractice Analysis, 8th Edition\u201d full version can be found by logging into your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bocatc.org\/BOC360\">BOC profile<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bocatc.org\/athletic-trainer-life-cycle\/#t2\">Content Outline for PA8<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bocatc.org\/athletic-trainer-life-cycle\/#t2\">Comparison of PA7 to PA8<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A practice analysis is a validated study that identifies essential knowledge and skills required for entry into the athletic training profession and serves as the blueprint not just for the BOC exam and continuing competence programming.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Revised Certification Maintenance Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to an updated PA8, there have been some recent changes to the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/7f6907b2.flowpaper.com\/202425CertMaintenanceRequirements\/#page=1\">2024-2025 Certification Maintenance Requirements<\/a>\u201d that guide ATs\u2019 recertification (pg. 6 CE Description) which will expand your CE opportunity options.<\/p>\n<p>CE programs can now include content that provides knowledge and skills to enhance an AT\u2019s ability to be an effective educator.
