The DAE is a powerful resource as it contains final BOC disciplinary actions that have been deemed public, as well as disciplinary actions taken by state regulatory agencies. Participation and teamwork state to state in sharing information is essential to the success and transparency of the DAE.<\/p>\n<p>To assist state regulators in better understanding the BOC disciplinary process, we broke down the steps below.<\/p>\n<p>1) DISCIPLINARY DOCUMENTATION RECEIVED<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complaints\n<ul>\n<li>BOC website, email and mail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Google alerts<\/li>\n<li>State notification\n<ul>\n<li>DAE, email and mail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2) DISCIPLINARY CASE OPENED<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Investigation<\/li>\n<li>Collect documentation<\/li>\n<li>Review documentation<\/li>\n<li>Decision\n<ul>\n<li>Processed administratively if precedence has been set by Professional Practice and Discipline Committee<\/li>\n<li>Committee reviews case if precedence has not been set\n<ul>\n<li>Committee meets monthly via conference call<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>3) DISCIPLINARY DECISION<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Private<\/li>\n<li>Public\n<ul>\n<li>Discipline is posted on the DAE\n<ul>\n<li>Public censure, suspension and revocation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Copy of discipline decision is electronically sent to state of residence we have on record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To view cases on the DAE, visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/bocatc.org\/state-regulation\/#t4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">BOC website<\/a>. To submit cases to the DAE, visit <a href=\"https:\/\/at.bocatc.org\/users\/sign_in\">AT Regulatory Connect<\/a>, the secure portal for states, and click on Submit Disciplinary Action.
